Milk-T
Air Control released twin Natsume Rio discs last month: Lemon-T and Milk-T. Lemon-T was one of the best Rio DVDs in a long time: sexy, sensual and fun, it is a completely enjoyable gravure idol release which presented our lady with a more erotic sensibility that most of her releases to date. Given the high quality of Lemon-T, there is every reason to believe that its companion disc would not be as good, or, at best, be on par. No one bats .1000. Well, gird your loins, Rio lovers: as good as Lemon-T was, Milk-T blows it out of the water.
Is the disc perfect? Well… no. There is a definite problem with pacing – almost every scene proceeds at the same speed with very little variation. Likewise, there are one too many scenes at (or near) the beach in bikinis. While normally these would be minor nit picks, when the glamour portion of the disc runs for over seventy-five minutes, variety is something of a necessity. Other than some very insignificant, scene-specific problems, that would pretty much sum up the negative points. And given the quality of the scenes, the lack of variety in both pacing and setting are negligible anyways. The camera work, lighting, wardrobe people were all top drawer, and Rio herself has never looked or performed better than she has here. As stated: the disc is not perfect, but it comes damned close. One more note about the bikinis: either Rio’s tits have gotten bigger or the bikinis have gotten smaller – the word ‘gigantic’ does not really do her mammaries justice in this DVD.
There are thirteen different gravure scenes on the main part of the disc, some of which are quite similar: there are three scenes in a bathroom (one in a tub, two in the shower), three which take place along the same stretch of beach, and one scene and several short interviews by a pool. Considering the length of the disc, the producers have wisely broken up the glamour portions with several short interview segments, all of which are enjoyable to watch: Rio’s quite chatty and upbeat in them and wears some really eye popping clothes. Further, the director never lets the segments go on for too long, so they never seem intrusive.
Let’s look at a few of the highlights. The open track is a slow moving piece, which really shows off exactly how, utterly spectacular Rio’s body is: the image of Rio walking in the surf, the curves of her hourglass figure in contrast to the white sand is a heart stopping visual. It’s a very sensual scene, which shows off how comfortable Rio is now in front of the camera compared to even a year ago – not once does she slip into her cute persona but really projects a nice vulnerability. I’ll give in to my id here and also mention this: Jesus H. Christ her breasts look huge here. Props to the bikini designer – its difficult to make a woman with a bust like Rio’s look even bigger, but somehow they pulled it off. The following scene is also very memorable– Rio is in a large bathtub, filled with shallow, clear water. The tub has a large wall mirror next to it. Wearing the requite small bikini, Rio play around in the tub for a few minutes then proceeds to undo the straps to her top, clutching the fabric over her massive breasts. A bit more posing (with a lot of nice zoomed out shots of Rio and her reflection). Then, the mirror comes into play: squishing her chest up against it – Rio lets go of her breasts, leaving the mirror to cover modesty. Although it would seem that this would be something of an awkward position to do any movement, Rio (quite gracefully) slides around the mirror, pressing her chest against it the whole time. Very sexy imagery… double your Rio, double your fun.
Skipping ahead a few tracks, we come to the first shower scene: knowing full well that all gorgeous women shower in their lingerie, Rio is vamping it up under a running showerhead in very wet, clingy, nightie. What will probably make you do a double take at first is the appearance of nipples through her transparent top. When the camera zooms in, it’s obvious that she’s using fakes, like she has done in a couple of her photo books, and mimicking fellow huge breast idol, Hanai Miri. Still, the effect is more than a little erotic, and Rio really pours it on here… staring at the camera wantonly while caressing her body slowly and gracefully. This is probably the sexiest gravure scene Rio has ever been in - get the cold shower running before you start this one. Skipping ahead another two tracks has Rio in a large, ornate room wearing a set of white lacey lingerie. Another slow burn in this one, as Rio poses and slinks around the room while the camera follows her graceful movements. She slightly pulls down her panties at one point, revealing some of her ass, and also mounts hobbyhorse. She rocks back and forth as the camera zooms in on various body parts. If the previous scene was her sexiest, this one is certainly in the running for second place.
All that being said, there is one scene which just plain doesn’t work: immediately following the above scene, Rio is back in the shower, but this time proceeds to cover her incredible body in mud. I guess some might find this to their liking, but it seems a shame to cover up a body a beautiful as Rio’s with gunk… it looked pretty disgusting to me. After completing her mud bath, she showers off. I’ll grant that Rio does rub herself down in a very pleasing matter, but the mud is just not an appealing aspect. Ugh.
The making-of tracks are a little weird insofar as they are hybrid of glamour scenes and interviews – so not only do you get some more really great shots of Rio, but she’s back to her funny, genki self in the candid and interview portions (unlike Erotica, where she seemed to be in kind of a bad mood). Definitely worth watching even if you don’t generally like these kinds of tracks.
In the end, Milk-T stands as one of the truly great gravure idol DVD releases in the past couple of years. Despite a few minor shortcomings and a single bad track, Milk-T is over 90 minutes with Rio at her sexiest – you really can’t go wrong with a deal like that.
